VENUE FOR THE MEETING

Accomodation

INATEL DE OEIRAS & POUSADA DE CATALAZETE

Both seafront hotels overlook the Tejo estuary and offer scenic views of Lisboa, Bugio and Mar da Palha. It features nice outside area – including a children’s playground. It’s a 3 minute walk to Oeiras Yachting Harbour, with several shops and fantastics seaviews.

The rooms at INATEL Oeiras are simple, decorated with warm colours and wooden furniture. Pousada de Catalazete is entirely reserved for our group; it’s a youth hostel with very good conditions. Please note that most rooms in this unit have private shower and WC. It has a large terrace with sea views and free WiFi. Linens included. Parking available.

How to get there

You can take the metro directly from the airport to the train station at Cais do Sodré – and then it’s a very nice, by the sea about 25 minutes train ride.
This should be the easiest way to get to the event.
It should take a little over an hour from the airport to the venue, depending on the time you arrive as there are more trains during working hours.
Eventually, with kids and suitcases, you can take a taxi from the train station in Oeiras to the hotel, it should cost 5€ to 10€. It’s about 20 minutes if you’d rather walk. And it’s easy – just look for the sea and head for it. Of course there’s always GPS (38º 40´ 46” N | 9º 19´ 01” O) too – and we’ll have some indications along the way :)
Thursday: we’ll be there from morning and we’ll have a welcome reception at 6pm. It’s great if you can be there by 5pm or earlier.
Sunday: we’re having a goodbye party after breakfast all trough lunch and early afternoon, so you can leave when you want but we advise you to stay for the farewells :)

Come and see for yourself!
