English-speaking trans peer support group
GRIT (Trans Reflection and Intervention Group), ILGA Portugal’s trans group, runs an English-speaking peer support group for trans, non-binary, intersex, and questioning people living in Portugal who are not comfortable communicating in Portuguese.
This is a peer support space built around shared experience, mutual care, and community connection – a place where you can meet others, feel heard, and explore what you’re going through in your own way and at your own pace.
You’re welcome to bring questions, doubts, discoveries, everyday realities, or moments of change, and to take what feels useful from what others share. There’s no expectation to have everything figured out, to disclose more than you want, or to present yourself in any particular way.
As an English-speaking space, this group brings together trans, non-binary, intersex, and questioning migrants from many backgrounds – supporting community bonds, shared strength, and a way to break through isolation and loneliness while navigating both identity and life in a new country.
